Obituary

Diana Jo Malmberg, daughter of Donald and Leah (Duncan) McKinnon, was born on May 7, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa. She passed away on September 15, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was 75 years old.

Most of her life was spent in Clarinda, Iowa. She graduated from Clarinda High School with the class of 1958. She lived in Arizona from 1960 to 1968. On December 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Edward James in Bedford, Iowa. They resided in Clarinda. She was remarried in 2003 to Ronald Malmberg.

Diana worked for FC Grace Furniture in Clarinda until it burned down. On July 1, 1971 she went to work for Iowa Power and Light and later Mid American Energy. She work there for 40 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Shenandoah and helped with many church events. She was Co-Treasurer for the church. She enjoyed golfing, decorating her home, flowers, gardening, being with friends and family and taking trips to Branson.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Malmberg, her parents Donald and Leah McKinnon, four brothers Max, Lee, Bob and Donnie McKinnon, and step-daughter Julie Kellogg.

Diana is survived by her son Kevin James and wife Carrie of Ankeny, Iowa, daughters D'Andrea Cooke of Clarinda and Victoria Glenn and husband Doug of Lincoln, Nebraska, granddaughters Aubrey Norris and husband Kody and Samanth Glenn, great-granddaughter Kamdyn Norris, sisters Marilyn Wills and Leona Clark, brothers Lynn and Marvin McKinnon. She is also survived by her extended family; stepchildren Rhonda Elming and husband Mark, Patty Thorn and husband Steve and Jeff Malmberg, nine step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Shenandoah or the American Heart Association.

Burial of cremains will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
