Deiyia Ruth Berry, daughter of Jennifer Nicole Lekey and Jesse Robert Berry, was born on June 16, 2006, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She passed from this world unexpectedly on Friday, September 8, 2006, at the Shenandoah Medical Center at the age of two months and 22 days.
Her early life was spent with her loving parents and family. She is survived by her parents, Jennifer Lekey and Jesse Berry, along with her brother, Skylar Berry, and sister, Jordan Berry, all of Shenandoah, IA. Other surviors include her grandparents, Amy and Marty Most, Tim Lekey, Jim Drenner and Deiyia Berry and Neil Sime; great grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Lekey, Iris Johnson, Royal McCollum, Debbie McCollum and Edna McCollum; lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and other loved ones. Memorials are being directed to the family.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home. Words of comfort were given by the Rev. Marcia Campbell. Musical selections were "One More Day", "Arms Wide Open" and "Red On A Rose". Caring for the flowers were Julia Lekey, Tamara Lekey and Katrena Miller. Attending the memory register were Tiffany Rodgers and Chasidy Roberts. Honorary casket bearers were John Terry, Justin Wake, Chris Walker, Tim Willits, Dave Berry and John Roberts. Interment was in the Thurman Cemetery at Thurman, Iowa. Memorials are being directed to the family.
