Dawn Ella Rima, daughter of Clinton Dihel and Esther Dorothy (Dunn) Rima, was born on December 7, 1932 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 78 following a brief illness.

Growing up in Shenandoah, Dawn attended the Shenandoah Community Schools, graduating from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1950. Following high school she went worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She later worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Arizona and lastly for U S West Telephone Company before retiring in 1996 after 39 years of service.

In her spare time Dawn enjoyed word and number puzzles and a good book. She was a long standing member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dawn was also a member of the Paralyzed Veterans Association.

Preceding Dawn in death were her parents; sister, Joan Inman; and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her two children, Kelley Rima of Shenandoah and Shelley Basch of Council Bluffs; sister, Maryann Waggener of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Jesse Basch, Stacy (Basch) Constant and Jennifer Basch; three great grandchildren, Zoe, Ayaden and Jazzmine and one more on the way; four nephews; one niece; other relatives and friends.

Memorials are being directed to the family.
