Darrel Dean Allely, son of Millard Lyle and Rachel Edna (Bownes) Allely, was born on August 18, 1928 in Fremont County, Iowa.  He passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Shenandoah Medical Center.

Darrel was born and raised in the Randolph, Iowa area.  He graduated from Randolph High School with the class of 1946.  After high school he served his country in the U.S. Army, he was honorable discharged in 1948.  Following his military service he attended Simpson College for a couple of years.

On October 9, 1949 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Warren at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah.

Darrel worked for Central Survey until 1988, then built and ran Allely's TV and Appliance until his retirement.   He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shenandoah.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Allely, parents Lyle and Rachel Allely and brothers Brooks and Drexel Allely.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children Deborah Anderson and husband Mike of York, South Carolina and Warren Allely and wife Sherry Gault of Council Bluffs, Iowa, granddaughters Nicole Anderson White and husband Jeff of Fort Mill, South Carolina,  Candice Anderson Walsh and husband Mark of Naples, Florida and Mysti Allely Freed and husband Jon of Des Monies, Iowa, other family and friends.

Celebration of Life Memorial Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military rites provided by the Shenandoah American Legion Color Guard.  Memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Food Pantry or Page County Veterans Affairs.
