Constance "Connie" May (Joslyn) Rohrer, daughter of Marion Guy and Gloria Louise (Snow) Joslyn, was born on July 9, 1947 in Clarinda, Iowa. She passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa. She was 69 years, two months and six days old.
Connie early years were spent in Shenandoah, she attended school in Shenandoah.
On September 27, 1964 she was united in marriage to Franklin Butch Rohrer. They resided in Shenandoah, Clarinda, Sidney, Tabor, Villisca, Bennett, CO before moving back to Shenandoah. They were divorced in 1999.
Connie had many jobs thought out her work career. She worked for Mount Arbor Nurseries, CNA for Stanton Care Center, Villisca Care Center and The Ambassador in Sidney, house keeping for the Tall Corn Motel in Shenandoah, food service for D's Dinner in Red Oak and George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg and as a bartender at the Eagles Club in Shenandoah.
Connie was a member of the Eagles Club of Shenandoah. She enjoyed fishing, camping, yard work especially in her flower beds and collecting Elvis memorabilia.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Jo Rohrer, son Byron Eugene Rohrer, parents Marion and Gloria Joslyn, brother Jerry Joslyn and her ex-husband Franklin Butch Rohrer.
Connie is survived by her daughter Melinda Kay Baldwin and husband Kenny of Villisca, brother Benjamin "Benny" Guy Joslyn of Malvern, grandson Wyatt Baldwin of Villisca, granddaughter Mirranda McDowell Lewis and husband Donte of Council Bluffs, IA, great-grandson Devante Terrell Lewis of Council Bluffs, IA daughter-in-law Mamie Jackson Rohrer of Shenandoah and other relative and friends.
Celebration of life memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
Burial of cremains will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
