Obituary

Constance Ray Heerman, daughter of Clarence and Coraline (Hudson) Nall was born on August 6, 1929 in Madisonville, Kentucky. She passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Westridge Care & Rehab in Clarinda, Iowa at the age of 83, just a few weeks short of her 84th birthday.
Her early life was spent in the Marissa, Illinois area where she attended the Marissa Community Schools. Connie graduated from Marissa High School with the Class of 1947. Following high school, Connie moved to East St. Louis where she worked for Bell Telephone as a telephone operator.
In 1946, Connie met the love of her life, LeeRoy Henry Heerman, while he was stationed in Illinois after enlisting in the Army Air Force. They were married on February 2, 1949. They were blessed with five children, Dennis Ray, Roy Dean, Roger Lee, Cheryl Lynn and Angela Denise.
In the first years of marriage they lived in Lincoln, Missouri, where LeeRoy was employed as a truck driver. In 1964 they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, but returned to Coin, Iowa in 1965. Connie was a loving mother and homemaker for many years. She later worked as the Coin Meal Site manager for 22 years before retiring at the age of 76.
Preceding Connie in death were her parents; husband, LeeRoy; two sons, Dennis and Roger Heerman; and a grandson, Daren Ray Heerman. She is survived by her children, Roy Heerman of Quitman, MO, Cheryl Fallis of Braddyville, IA and Angela Whitehill and Jim Berry of Coin, IA; grandchildren, Stacy Russell and husband Vashon of Champagne, IL, Michelle Paul and husband Chad Paul of Bedford, IA, Spencer Williams and husband Jay of Malvern, IA, Megan Steeve and husband Chuck of Council Bluffs, IA, Kalon Whitehill of Clarinda, IA, Jenni Martin and husband Joe of Essex, IA, Kade Whitehill and fianc Bobbi Halsey of Clarinda, IA, Rachel Peter and husband Ryan of Burlington Junction, MO and Jimmy Fallis of Tucson, AZ; Great grandchildren, Cheyanne Warrick, Dylan Warrick, Emerson Paul, Mallory Williams, Ali Honnold, Kyler Williams, Brynn Williams, Lexi Peter, Logan Peter, Trey Russell, Tanner Russell, Emma Martin, Riley Martin, J J Martin and
Marlowe Martin; other relatives and many friends.

Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Coin at a later date.
