Charles Eugene Walker was born on June 20, 1944 in Taylor County, Iowa the son of Claude C. and Iola Mae (Strong) Walker.  Charlie entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Shenandoah Medical Center.

Charlie was raised in Shenandoah.  He graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1964.  He was united in marriage to Joyce Nicholas and to this union four children were born; Claudia, Bruce, Patricia and Nicholas.  The couple later divorced.  On June 30, 1993 he was united in marriage to Karen Siefken.  Karen passed away on November 4, 2003.

During his working years he was employed as a truck driver for Earl May until his retirement.  A job that he enjoyed, driving a truck was truly a labor of love.  Some of his hobbies included chasing women, walking the track with his friend Tom Daub, eating out, trying new foods( but German and BBQ were his favorite), investing in the markets, collecting motorcycles, having a few drinks at Dirt's Place, spending time with his children and grandchildren and studying about herbs and natural healing techniques.  Another passion of his was playing checkers online with others from all over the country.  .  If Charlie was watching television you could guarantee that Walker Texas Ranger would be on or other western shows.  The movie Grease with Olivia Newton John was also a favorite of his.    He was a member of the Shenandoah Eagles Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Iola; brother Dennis; sister Caroline; grandson Gary; and great-granddaughters Airo and Blaze.  Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Allen (Janice) Walker of Great Bend, KS; children Claudia (Bob) of Omaha, NE, Bruce (Misty) of Council Bluffs, IA, Patricia (Billy) of Council Bluffs, IA and Nicholas (Dawn) also of Council Bluffs, IA;  grandchildren Krystal, Jeffery and Slyenia of Hamburg, IA, Shyanne, Natasha and Austin of Omaha, NE, Brittany and Curtis of Council Bluffs, IA, Kaci and Jake of Carter Lake, IA, Alexander and Astrid of Council Bluffs, IA, Daniella of Council Bluffs, IA, Micah and Sonielle of Charter Oak, IA and Mercedes and Dusty of Blueridge, TX; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
