Carolann Prudence Adwell, daughter of E. Cline and Edith G. (Williams) Adwell, was born on June 16, 1948 in Shenandoah, Iowa. On Friday, January 30, 2015, she moved to her eternal heavenly home at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 14 days.

Carolann was a lifelong resident of Shenandoah and a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene. Every life serves a purpose and hers was to teach others to be more tolerant, caring, loving and to appreciate each simple joy in life. The smallest gesture of kindness made her happy.

Carolann had a good sense of humor and an infectious giggle. She loved people. Cats and dogs also had a special place in her heart and they returned that love.

Carolann was preceded in death by her mother on April 27, 2014, her father on February 21, 2000 and two sisters Mary Ruth and Martha Rose on January 26, 1946, her grandparents Jeff and Priscilla Williams and Ernest and Susie Adwell, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Carolann is survived by a sister, Suecilla Adwell of St. Joseph, Missouri and a brother Ernest Adwell of Kansas City, Missouri. She is also survived by many cousins across the country, one aunt, Yema Harlow of Glasgow, Kentucky, and friends too many to count.

The family wants to thank Dr. Janet Bumgarner and all staff at Garden View for the love and care they gave Carolann. If you wish to do something in her memory, let it be some random acts of kindness as there are angels unaware all around us.

Burial will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
