Carol Ann was born on October 1, 1949 in Shenandoah, Iowa to Philip and Opal (Browning) Keltner.  Carol passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs following an extended illness.

Carol was raised in the community of Shenandoah where she attended school.  Following high school graduation she attended college at Iowa Western Community College where she took classes in accounting.  In June of 1981 she was united in marriage to Leslie Ditmars.  The couple resided outside of Farragut until moving to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1994.  They later returned to Shenandoah in 2002 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

During her working years she was employed at Alco, the Amvets and Eagles Clubs and worked in the office at Mount Arbor Nurseries.  Some of her hobbies included fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and doing ceramics.  She was a true animal lover and was a long time member of the ASPCA.  She was also a member of the Eagles Club in Shenandoah.  Carol had a passion for genealogy and kept wonderful records for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leslie and step-son Douglas Ditmars.  Those left to cherish her memory include her son Jason Keltner and wife Tracie of Shenandoah, grandchildren Brittny Keltner of Ames, Blake Keltner of Clarinda and Brandon and Brody Keltner both of Shenandoah and one soon to be born great-grandchild.  She also leaves behind many friends whom she loved dearly.
