Caleb Robert Baldwin was born on June 23,1983 at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA. He was the eighth of nine children born to Richard and Linda (Shotton) Baldwin, but quickly became and remained the center of attention. He loved to make people laugh. His laugh and charisma were second to none.
He spent his early years doing anything sports related. He loved sports and excelled at baseball being awarded a golden glove as a CABA player in his youth. He also loved football and played linebacker and fullback in middle school. He was an avid collector of baseball and football cards and sports memorabilia, but his heart belonged to the Cubs and the Raiders. He knew more players' stats as a child than any professional announcer and loved to talk sports with anyone who would listen.
He became an uncle at 11 and enjoyed playing with and taking his nieces and nephews on adventures. He would drop whatever he was doing to spend time with them. He taught them sports, guitar, sang with and encouraged them to work hard at the things that they loved. He even coached baseball for Sidney Junior High and youth football in Shenandoah.
Growing up, he worked alongside his father and brother, Jason, at Lynn Furnace. He learned HVAC installation and repair, a skill that afforded him many employment opportunities. He attended school in Sidney and Shenandoah and graduated from Timpanogos High School in Utah in 2001.
Caleb married Kelsey Cummings and they became parents in 2004 to Baylee and then again in 2007 to Taylor. After their divorce, Caleb moved back to Iowa with the girls. He later met and married Natalie French and in 2011 their son, Evan, was born. In 2013 he married Cori Woods and they were blessed with Madison in 2013 and Sophie in 2014. In 2017 he returned to Utah where he resided for the rest of his life. In 2019 he met Ana Guerra and they lived happily in Ogden, UT together.
Caleb never met a stranger and made fast friends with everyone he came in contact with. His heart was huge and had room for everyone, but the loves of his life were his 5 beautiful children and his music. His childhood was filled with music and he developed a deep passion for it. Caleb was truly a gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was at home on stage and was always an entertainer. His music is where he found peace in all the turmoil.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Baldwin, his nephews, George McGargill and Elijah Baldwin, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his parents, Richard and Linda Baldwin, his fiance, Ana Guerra, his children, Baylee and Taylor, Evan, Madison, & Sophie. Siblings, Seth and ex-wife, Heather, Jason and wife, Amy, Melissa, Wesley and wife, Melissa, David and wife, Vanessa, Minnie McGargill and husband, Zach, Marcy Taylor and husband, Kyle. Nieces and nephews, Bryan, Katie Watts and husband, Mike, Timothy, Benjamin, Emma, Spencer, Jonah, Hannah, Abel, Malachi, Micah, Callum, Lydia, Sara, Ethan, Abram Morales, Anna, Rebekah, Lilly, Wyatt, Grace, Samuel, David, Leanna LePorte, Jacob and Joseph McGargill, Kenton, Malcolm, Odin and Eve Taylor.
