Bruce Harold Peterson, 65, husband of Kay Wyer Peterson, was called home to be with the Lord Friday, November 18, 2016 at his home.

Born in Shenandoah, IA on August 27, 1951, he was the youngest son of the late Harold Raymond and Jemima Winifred McGinnis Peterson. After growing up and living in the Midwest for many years, Bruce, Kay and their two children moved to Pennsylvania in 1986. During the years they lived in Pennsylvania, two more children were born to them. They relocated to the warmer weather of SC in 2004 where Bruce served the Town of Williamston and was a Special Police Officer at the time of his death. Bruce was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by his four children and their spouses, Jennifer and Chuck Ward of Williamston, SC, Joshua and Terri Peterson of Middletown, PA, Jonathan and Lauren Peterson of Carrabelle, FL, and Jamee and Joel Arnold of Buffalo, SC; fifteen grandchildren and two more on the way; two brothers, Robert Peterson and wife, Dolores, of NJ and Larry Peterson of TX; and numerous other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Linda Peterson.

South Carolina services:
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 23 at Grace Baptist Church in Pelzer, South Carolina. The service will follow at 7:00 pm at the church.

Shenandoah services:
Celebration of life funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Christ Point Baptist Church in Shenandoah, Iowa. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Northboro, Iowa.
