Obituary

Brian LeRoy Kinney, son of David LeRoy and Evelyn Sue (Johnson) Kinney, was born on March 6, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 15, 2006, at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas, at the
age of 45.

His early life was spent in Omaha until the age of seven, when his family moved to Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Craigmont High School in Raleigh, Tennessee with the Class of 1979. Following high school, Brian moved to Garland where he worked as an Expeditor for Connolly Tool & Die Manufacturing. He spent 23 1/2 years working at Connolly before going to work for Carrier Air Conditioning in April of 2004. He was currently working as a Set-up Technician for Carrier. On January 24, 1998, Brian was united in marriage to Teresa Jane Jenkins in Garland at the Arapaho Road Baptist Church. Following their marriage they lived at 2425 Homestead Place in Garland. Brian was a member of the Arapaho Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, fishing, traveling with his wife, spending time with his sons, talking with his friends and going to Wal-Mart.

Preceding Brian in death were his grandparents, Okie and Armon Johnson and Beatrice Kinney Patterson; step grandmother, Barbara Johnson; and step grandfather, Brice Patterson. Survivors include his wife Teresa Kinney of the home; sons, David Wilson Kinney of the home and Mark James Kinney of Garland, TX; parents, David and Sue Kinney of Shenandoah, IA; sister, Miriam Plowman and her husband Ronald and nephew, Lance Plowman of Rowlett, TX; step grandmother, Marj Johnson of Shenandoah, IA; father and mother-in-law, Morris and Mary Jenkins of Rochester, TX; sister and brother-in-laws, Tammie Howard of Jermyn, TX, Terri Klose of Haskell, TX and Joe Jenkins of Rochester, TX, and their families; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 18, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. The Rev. Fred Pearrow gave the words of comfort. Special music was "Amazing Grace". Attending the memory register was Paula Peterson. Casket bearers were Jay Johnson, Brad McEnaney, Brian McEnaney, Emmet Johnson, Jared Johnson, Matt Perrin, Neil Doppellhammer, Rodney Wilcoxson and Tracey Guill. Interment was in the Monroe Township Cemetery north of Imogene, Iowa. The Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
