Bradley Gerald Tillman, 45, of Farragut, Iowa, passed away July 29, 2007, at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska Born September 6, 1961 in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Carl Roy and Glenna Louise (Mahaffey) Tillman Sr., Bradley spent his toddler years growing up in Nebraska City where he started kindergarten. Bradley then moved to Sidney, Iowa where he spent his adolescent life and attended school.
Bradley was with the Nebraska National Guard from 1980 until his honorable discharge in 1984. On July 2, 1984, Bradley was united in marriage to Karilea Kay Martin in Rockport, Missouri. The couple resided in the Farragut, Iowa area.
In 1987 Bradley was the manager of Page Theater Home Video. During the 1990's he ran the first Shenandoah taxi service out of his home. From the mid to late 1990's Bradley was a 911 dispatcher for the Shenandoah Police Department and then the Fremont County Sheriffs Department. He then worked part time at the Eagle's Lodge. In the past couple years, Bradley had been doing odd jobs.
Bradley was baptized in the Sidney Baptist Church when he was a young boy. He loved to work with his hands, whether it be on cars, computers or electronics. He also collected keys. Bradley loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always willing to help. He did not know a stranger. Family was very important to Brad. There was nothing he wouldn't do for anyone. He was loved by many, and he will be missed by all.
Bradley is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Gladys Tillman and Kenneth and Merna Stibik; uncle, Fredrick Tillman; aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Virginia Holland; uncle, Marvin Kelsey; aunt, Marilee Mallory and uncle, Jim Cornett. He is survived by his wife, Karilea Tillman of Farragut; daughter, Lisa Tillman of Villisca; son, Matthew Tillman of Farragut; parents, Carl and Glenna Tillman Sr. of Shenandoah; brother, Rodney and wife Krista of Shenandoah; sister, Carlene (Tillman) Higgins of Washington, IA; brother, John and wife Deb of Lenox, IA; brother, Michael of Shenandoah; sister, Bonnie and husband Mark Dunn of Edwardsburg, MI; step brothers, Craig and wife Rosemary Tillman and Carl Tillman Jr. of Glenwood; step sister, Teresa (Tillman) Davis and husband Dan of Columbus, OH; step sister, Debbie (Tillman) Woods of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.
A memorial services was held Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home. Words of comfort were given by Pastor Gary Fuller. Krista Nielson attended the memory register. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at
