Billie Marie Harris, daughter of William R. and Elgerta (Davis) Shelton, was born on June 1, 1925 at St. Joseph, Missouri. She entered into rest Saturday night, June 13, 2015 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 90 years and 12 days.

Her early years were spent growing up in the Northboro, Iowa community where she attended school through her junior year. Billie attended Blanchard High School her senior year, graduating with the Class of 1942.

On November 19, 1942, Billie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Wilbur (Zeb) Harris, at Rock Port, Missouri. Following their marriage they lived at Blanchard for a short time before moving to Shenandoah. To this union, five children, Jerry, Donna, Linda, Larry and Sandy were born.

As the kids got older, Billie entered the work force, taking a job at Henry Field Seed and Nursery. She worked there for a number of years. Billie was a longtime member of the Norwich Methodist Church and was a member of the Church Circle. First and foremost to Billie was her family, she loved to spend time visiting and catching up with all her children and numerous grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.

Preceding her in death, were her parents; beloved husband, Wilbur (Zeb) Harris; and son, Larry Harris. Survivors include her son, Jerry Harris and wife Sally of Golconda, IL; three daughters, Donna Young of Kearney, NE, Linda White and husband Richard of Kearney, NE, and Sandy Harris and special friend Rick Cunningham of Grimes, IA; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; nephew, Bob Shelton and wife Jean of Springfield, OH; other relatives and many friends.

Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
