Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Ginger the daughter of Ira "Mose" Cleaveland and Ruthe Ingram Cleaveland was born in Shenandoah, Iowa on July 3, 1933 and entered into rest on March 1, 2017 at Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 83.

Bobbie grew up in Shenandoah graduating with the class of 1951. While in high school she was a cheerleader, member of girls glee, pep club (she was president of the club her senior year), mix chorus, Shen-Hi-Can the school newspaper, the Y-Teens, and played intramural basketball.

On February 14, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert Ginger at the St. John's Episcopal Church in Shenandoah. After their marriage they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska where Bob was stationed with the Air Force. After Bob was honorably discharged they moved back to Shenandoah for a short time, later moving to Independence, Missouri for seven years, then to St, Joseph, Missouri for three and a half years, moving back to Shenandoah in 1973 where she would remain the rest of her life. Barbara was a member or St. John's Episcopal Church in Shenandoah.

Bobbie enjoyed bowling; enjoyed to travel especially to the Southwest and western parts of the United States; enjoyed reading and watching movies of all kinds; was a member of the Southwest Iowa Theater Group. Most of all she loved her family and cherished the holidays when they all could get together. Bobbie worked for many years for Security Bank in Shenandoah before her retirement. She was known as a loving and generous person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Ray and Loran; a sister Eileene Cook. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; husband Robert "Bob" Ginger, two sons, Scott Ginger and wife Sandra of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tracey Ginger and wife Sharon of Papillion, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Tony Ginger and wife Molli, Andy Ginger, Courtney Harvey and husband Nick, Jack Ginger and Nicholas Ginger; great grandchildren, Carter and Kaylin; two nieces Candi Cook and husband Bill Semmons of Aurora, Colorado; and Stephanie Stockton and husband Joe of Warrensburg, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Celebration of life funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the Infusion Center at the Shenandoah Medical Center or the Iowa Council for the United Blind.

Burial will be held Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
