Arthur William Bueker was born on May 6, 1948 to Emil and Ella Mae (Higgins) Bueker in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Garden View Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Arthur was raised on a farm outside the Griswold and  Boonville area.  When he was 2 years old the family moved to Shenandoah, where he has resided his entire life.  He liked to tell the story about his mother who used to race stock cars.   She was the one who taught him how to drive.  I'm not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.  However, he loved to take drives around Shenandoah and check out the local scene.  He also attended the Shenandoah Community Schools.

During his working years he was employed by Mount Arbor Nursery and Lakes Nursery.  He along with his brothers Ardel and Ronnie were dedicated volunteers with the Shenandoah Athletic Department.  They devoted countless hours to the Mustangs and Fillies.   They loved every minute of their service.  He enjoyed helping people when he was called upon and supporting the school however they were needed.  Arthur was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father Emil Bueker,  mother Ella Mae Hansen, one brother in infancy, his step-father Hans Hansen, step-sister Darlene Carpenter and  brother Ardel Bueker.  Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers Gerald Bueker and Ronnie Hansen; other relatives and a host of good friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wabash Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday.  Memorials are suggested to the family.
