Art, 79, of San Diego, CA and more recently Fairfax, VA, a former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) official, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Art is the husband of Charlene (Randell) Barnes and the father of Lisa, Jannine and Arthur.

Charlene Barnes and her children have established memorial funds at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the DEA Association of Former Federal Narcotics Agents (AFFNA) in Art's name. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to these organizations. Links are provided below.
