Obituary

Alice Elizabeth (Rennack) Burns, was born on April 29, 1922 to Otto and Alma (Steffens) Rennack on the family farmstead in rural Essex, Iowa.She entered into rest on June 7, 2014 at Hospice with Heart in Glenwood, Iowa at age 92. She spent her childhood on the farm and attended country school.
In 1953, Alice was united in marriage Willis Burns. They began their married life living on a farm near Tarkio, Missouri.

Alice worked for Henry Fields hatchery as a watchperson in the 40's and 50's. She operated a diner in Shenandoah in the late 50's and early 60's. She also worked for Eaton Corporation until retirement.

Alice was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting and making other people feel special.

Preceding Alice in death were her husband, Willis Burns; parents, Otto and Alma Rennack; brothers Johnny, Edson, Ivan, and Leonard Rennack; sister Phyllis Stille; nieces and nephews; Tom Rennack, Ron Burns, Karol Burns, Bill Burns and Donald Lee Haun.

Those left to cherish her memory include her niece and nephew on the Rennack side of the family; Cheryl (Rennack) Hanson and husband Neil of Arvada, CO, and their daughter Amy Hedges and husband Mike and their daughter Anelise Hedges of Arvada, CO, Terry Rennack and wife JoAnn of Kearney, MO and their daughters Shelby Dougan and husband Brian of Raymore, MO and Sydney Dingman and husband Robby and their daughter Chloe Dingman of Parkville, MO. Nieces and nephews on the Burns side of the family, Marilynn Burn and family of West Des Moines, IA, Gary Burns and wife Gail and family of Tipton, MO, Dan Burns and family of Edgeton, MO, Rudy Burns and family of Lathrop, MO, Mary Jo Burns of Kansas City, MO, David Burns and wife Suann and family of Edgerton, MO and Wilma Haun of Springfield, MO and many, many dear friends

Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Shenandoah or Hospice with Heart in Glenwood.

Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
